Raise The Age

Raise The Age

The Tasmanian Government is planning to raise the minimum age of criminal responsibility to 14 by 2029.

This means for the next five years the Tasmanian Government will still allow children aged 10 to 13 to be arrested, put in handcuffs, held in police cells and put through court proceedings.

This is not good enough. The minimum age of criminal responsibility must be raised to at least 14 now.

Use our easy email tool to email Attorney-General Guy Barnett, Premier Jeremy Rockliff and your local MP and urge them to Raise the Age to at least 14 years old.
